Chris Smith of Carigiet Cowen Chartered Surveyors, has acted jointly with Jon Swain of Mason Partners LLP in negotiations with the Cumberland Building Society for their purchase of Compass House on Cooper Way at Parkhouse.

The building ideally suited to Head Quarter use provides in excess of 25,000 sq ft of modern office accommodation, on its own site and provides excellent access to new Northern Development Route and the M6.

Director Chris Smith is delighted that terms have been agreed with the award winning Society, one of the county’s leading companies.

Compass House was constructed by Gladman Developments as part of their very successful 90,000 sq ft Parkhouse Business Park office scheme.

The presence of the Cumberland compliments other users, including local solicitors, financial services, ITV Tyne Tees and international charity Operation Mobilisation.

The sale is the largest office transaction in the City for many years.
