SUCCESSFUL COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY
Carigiet Cowen have recently concluded a variety of lettings and sales in and around the Kendal area. Notably last month, Ben Blain sold Juniper House located on the Murley Moss Business Park. Carigiet Cowen brought the 5,640 sq ft detached two storey office building to the market in mid March and had agreed terms to sell the property by early April. Richard Percival has been active with a variety of industrial requirement lettings on Main Line Industrial Estate Milnthorpe close to J36 of the M6. With strong interest in the last two available units on the Estate from a national occupier the whole Main Line Estate may shortly be fully let.

This recent activity follows other significant sales in the Kendal area over the last couple of years including; Brettargh Holt which is now operating as The Villa offers a fine wedding venue only a short distance from Kendal and on the doorstep to The Lakes. The former Whinfell Centre at Longpool was sold on behalf of Cumbria County Council earlier this year after significant interest. Finally, following the successful sale of Tenterfield on Brigsteer Road, formerly an NHS office building, the site is now being redeveloped for residential use by Russell Armer.
Closer to home in Carlisle, Ben has recently let 49-53 Blackfriars Street to a well-established café operator, Unit 2 Market Arcade to a hair stylist and has 110 English Street under offer to a well-known national fashion retailer.
