Acting for Age UK West Cumbria, Mike Beales has successfully secured the sale of their former HQ known as the Old Customs House on West Strand, Whitehaven.

The building has been purchased by a local hospitality business who, building on their successful track record, intend to transform the former offices into luxury serviced apartments. Catering for visiting executives on business or for tourists who are looking for a luxury alternative.

The Grade II listed building which was built in 1811, was as the names suggests, the Customs House for Whitehaven where the taxes on goods imported and exported would have been calculated.

Picturesquely situated overlooking the harbour, the building offers fantastic potential for the new proposed use.
